Scope of Practice:
Defined in the Veterinary Practice Standards for: Licensed Veterinary Technicians, the Scope of Practice dictates what tasks may be performed by Licensed Veterinary Technicians and under what level of supervision (Immediate, Direct, Indirect).

CE Requirements 
It is currently 10 hours per licensing period. 
Please note: The current requirements are being changed through the Vet Med Board. We will post here and on our social media, as well as email our members when we find out the new number of hours required. 
CE Licensing Period 

Continuing education (CE) is a requirement of renewal per S.C. Code of Law §40-69-250(A) and S.C Regulation 120-6. Current CE cycle is April 1, 2021 to March 31, 2023*. Per Board Regulations, for biennial renewal, ten (10) CE hours are required. Each veterinary technician must maintain a record of attendance at the meetings qualifying for continuing education for a minimum of three (3) years immediately preceding renew.
